Do these in order: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. A drain does not reset them. The other tabs are not the next step.
4 shots
Start with a Saucer
Destroying saucers is the main scoring. Kineticist starts an attack wave before any multiball. When the saucer is down, open Step 2 - Multiball.
Step 1 - Destroy a saucer
Hold the left flipper and press launch. Then hit the center 3-bank.
Why this shotHold the left flipper so the ball comes to the flippers. Hitting the force field from there lowers it for a saucer. Kineticist takes this when the force field is up.
Hit the center 3-bank.
Why this shotIt starts an attack wave. Kineticist warns it's the riskiest shot: center returns are fast.
Hit the three targets behind the force field.
Why this shotA bar tracks the damage. The first saucer takes three hits; each one after takes three more.
Shoot the hole that opens in the center.
Why this shot200M for the first saucer, 200M more for each one after. The hole shot returns to the flipper, so it's fairly safe.
Worth knowing
- Stroke of Luck can award Start Attack Wave, which skips the force field.
- A ball resting in the saucer hole while the force field is up destroys the next saucer for free.
Do these in order: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. A drain does not reset them. The other tabs are not the next step.
3 shots
Then Multiball
Three balls locked on the center ramp. When it ends, open Step 3 - Martian Attack.
Shoot the center ramp.
Why this shotLocks are lit and collected on the center ramp, and return to the left flipper.
During the multiball
Collect all five ramps and loops.
Why this shotEvery ramp and loop is a jackpot.
The super moves between the left loop and the right side. Catch it.
Why this shotIt relights all the jackpots. If it's still lit when the multiball ends, you get a short Last Chance.
Worth knowing
- A super jackpot here is one of the six goals for Rule the Universe.
Do these in order: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. A drain does not reset them. The other tabs are not the next step.
4 shots
Then Martian Attack
The only multiball that can stack with the others.
Hit the green standups.
Why this shotIt lights Martian Attack at the scoop.
Shoot the scoop.
Why this shotYou have a timer to hit all four Martians.
Hit MAR, T, I and AN.
Why this shotT and I are hardest. Kineticist bounces off the opposite Martian: MAR into I, AN into T.
Spell MARTIAN again for bombs. Press launch to use one.
Why this shotA bomb kills a Martian. Killing the last one with a bomb starts the 2-ball multiball, so keep one as a safety net.
Worth knowing
- You can start other multiballs while Martian Attack is lit.
Not the next step. Open this only when you are working on a saucer, or already in it.
2 shots
Later saucers and Mars
Five saucers, then Mars.
Same pattern: force field, targets, hole.
Why this shotThree more hits than the one before, and 200M more.
After five saucers, the sixth wave is Mars. The hole does the damage.
Why this shotTen shots at 100M each. Destroying Mars is worth 2.5B, and every later saucer hit is worth 100M.
Worth knowing
- Destroying Mars is one of the six goals for Rule the Universe.
Multiball and Martian Attack are already in Starting Shots. These pages are for later.
3 shots
Total Annihilation
A 4-ball multiball. Kineticist: a good one is worth about 2B.
Hit each of the four shots three times.
Why this shotCaptures, Tractor Beams, Big-O-Beams and Atomic Blasters: the two ramps and two loops.
Shoot any major shot.
Why this shotYou can collect the same jackpot again and again.
Shoot the center ramp.
Why this shotWorth every jackpot since the start or the last super.
Worth knowing
- Each finished shot starts a 100M hurry-up at the saucer; stacked ones are worth more. Starting Annihilation cashes them.
Help while you play. If you have to choose, stay on Starting Shots.
3 shots
Stroke of Luck and Super Jets
The mystery award and the bumpers.
One is lit at the start. Complete the inlanes and outlanes to relight it.
Why this shotAwards include Start Attack Wave, Light Lock, a Martian Bomb and Strobe Multiball.
Roll the inlanes.
Why this shotTen inlane completions light an extra ball, if extra balls are on.
100 bumper hits start it.
Why this shotOne of the six goals for Rule the Universe.
Worth knowing
- Strobe Multiball ends with a short ball saver, handy for saucer progress.
Help while you play. If you have to choose, stay on Starting Shots.
2 shots
Rule the Universe
The wizard mode. Kineticist calls it easy once you're there.
Finish all six, then shoot the scoop.
Why this shotMultiball super jackpot, Super Jets, Martian Attack Multiball, Total Annihilation, destroy Mars, and a 5-way combo.
Everything is worth huge points. Saucer hits are 100M.
Why this shotScoring 5B before draining adds another 5B and a Ruler of the Universe entry.
Worth knowing
- With four or five goals done, Kineticist focuses only on the missing ones.
