Do these in order: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. A drain does not reset them. The other tabs are not the next step.

Start with a TV Mode
Seven TV modes share one 30-second timer and all stack. Kineticist: starting something new is almost always worth more than finishing what's running. When one is going, open Step 2 - Otto.
Step 1 - Start a TV mode
Plunge into Comic Book Guy.
Why this shotAs a skill shot it starts two hurry-ups instead of one. Kineticist calls it the best skill shot.
Shoot the right orbit.
Why this shotOn harder settings a mode must be lit first. A solid arrow at the TV means it's lit.
Shoot the garage. Hit it once to open it if it's closed.
Why this shotThe garage (or the left ramp) feeds the mini-playfield where the TV is.
The right flipper changes the mode. Shoot under the TV.
Why this shotKineticist opens with Homer's Day: it lights the next mode and flows into the couch.
Worth knowing
- Each mode has to be relit after it starts.
- Willie's Woes and Homer's Day are the easiest to finish; Bart's Day the hardest.
Do these in order: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. A drain does not reset them. The other tabs are not the next step.

Then keep it going with Otto
Otto doublers make a shot 2x and refill the shared timer. When your timer is safe, open Step 3 - Couch Multiball.
Hit the Light Otto target.
Why this shotThe target in front of the bumpers lights it. Mystery can too.
Shoot the right loop up the middle.
Why this shotThat shot scores 2x for 30 seconds, and the timer for every running mode is extended.
Put the doubler on the shot your mode needs.
Why this shotKineticist pairs Duffman with a right ramp doubler, Krusty with the right orbit and Willie's Woes with the right loop.
Worth knowing
- All ten doublers lead toward the Springfield Mystery Spot.
Do these in order: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. A drain does not reset them. The other tabs are not the next step.
4 shots
Then Couch Multiball
Kineticist: Stop the Monorail is the best TV mode to run with a multiball.
Hit the Light Lock targets.
Why this shotSome settings need the locks lit first.
Shoot the couch from the upper flipper.
Why this shotThe TV feeds the upper flipper, which reaches the couch.
During the multiball
Shoot the major shots.
Why this shotAll major shots are jackpots, and they relight the super.
Shoot the couch.
Why this shotIt relights the regular jackpots. Five couch supers are one of the wizard mode goals.
Worth knowing
- Itchy & Scratchy Multiball: two saucer shots, behind the drop targets.
Not the next step. Open a TV mode only when you are choosing one, or already in it.
4 shots
Homer, Willie, Krusty, Duffman
Four TV modes. Shots from the Tilt Forums community.
Bumpers, right ramp, garage and lock.
Why this shotOne of the easiest to finish.
Bully targets, then Otto, three times.
Why this shotOne of the easiest to finish.
Spinner shots, usually four or five.
Why this shotPair it with an Otto doubler on the right orbit.
Five right ramp shots.
Why this shotPair it with a right ramp doubler.
Worth knowing
- Finished modes go into Victory Laps: major shots are worth more for each finished mode.
Not the next step. Open a TV mode only when you are choosing one, or already in it.
3 shots
Monorail, Wiggum, Bart
Three more TV modes.
Monorail drop, then any shot, three times with a different shot each time.
Why this shotKineticist's best mode for a multiball.
A right-side shot, two left-side shots (garage or Kwik-E-Mart), then the left orbit.
Why this shotA set order.
Otto, Kwik-E-Mart, left ramp, then the TV.
Why this shotThe hardest because of the left ramp.
Worth knowing
- All seven finished on one timer make major shots worth 2.5M.
Couch and Itchy & Scratchy Multiball are already in Starting Shots. These pages are for later.
3 shots
Itchy & Scratchy Multiball
The second multiball.
Knock down the three drop targets.
Why this shotThey get harder with each multiball.
Shoot the saucer.
Why this shotThe first lights it, the second starts it.
Collect jackpots, then the saucer.
Why this shot500k plus every jackpot since the last super.
Worth knowing
- Scratchy's Revenge is worth 10 to 15M alone, about 80M stacked with the Mystery Spot.
Couch and Itchy & Scratchy Multiball are already in Starting Shots. These pages are for later.
2 shots
Alien Invasion and the Mystery Spot
Kineticist's late-game stacks.
Lock the right loop and Itchy & Scratchy balls early; make the last lock at the TV or garage.
Why this shotStart it in single-ball play. It locks five balls; the 4-ball phase is worth 10 to 15M.
Make all ten Otto shots, then the garage while it opens.
Why this shotA 4-ball with reversed flippers and 2x playfield. The strongest stack in the game.
Worth knowing
- Don't stack Secret Stash with Alien Invasion: they share few shots.
Help while you play. If you have to choose, stay on Starting Shots.
3 shots
Hurry-ups, Daredevil and D'oh Frenzy
Points between modes.
Shoot Comic Book Guy, then the lit hurry-up shot.
Why this shotThey count down, so collect fast. Stacked ones are worth more. They don't use the shared timer.
Complete the Bully 3-bank. The captive ball spots Daredevil targets.
Why this shotEach finishes at 750k plus a 250k bonus. Daredevil Mania is the easiest wizard goal.
Spell SIMPSONS with garage shots.
Why this shotEvery switch is 10k for 30 seconds.
Worth knowing
- The Kwik-E-Mart loop advances the bonus multiplier.
Help while you play. If you have to choose, stay on Starting Shots.
1 shots
Super Duper Mega Extreme Wizard Mode
Kineticist calls it a trophy more than a strategy.
Finish all six.
Why this shotFive couch supers, win Secret Stash, win Alien Invasion, a Mystery Spot super, a Scratchy's Revenge super, and win Daredevil Mania.
Worth knowing
- Treehouse of Horror: Nuclear Disaster and Krusty's Nightmare are the most valuable awards.
